Thanking God For Another Birthday!

Today, I am grateful to have been given another year of life, and I thank my Heavenly Father with a grateful heart. It is such a blessing to be alive today that I can’t help but feel that being brought through a pandemic is a blessing worth celebrating. I am glad and overjoyed that I have been blessed with another year of life. While it has been a difficult season in my life, I am still clothed in my right mind.

As I celebrate my birthday today, I am filled with thankfulness to my Heavenly Father. I thank you, Lord, for giving me another year to celebrate. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the gift of life.

Father in Heaven, I feel humbled and glad to see another year. I want to express my gratitude for this wonderful event. This day was chosen by you as my “Purpose Day.” Lord, I thank you for another year in your loving care, and I bless your name for allowing me to celebrate another birthday. Words cannot convey how grateful I am to be celebrating another year of life today. I come before You today to commemorate another year of your grace.

Lord, I am not where I need to be, but I am thankful that I am not where I used to be, and I am grateful that you are bringing me in the right direction. I desire to grow in my relationship with you and my faith strengthen. As I celebrate my birthday, may you help me in walking in the fruit of the Spirit. May every day of my life bring glory to your name Father.

While many people celebrate their birthday by turning up, for me, it is a moment to reflect and be thankful that I have made it through another year.

Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.

(Psalm 107:1)

As a person living with a disability challenge is part of my life. I struggled with my identity and I recognize that I still have insecurities to face, but that doesn't mean I can't walk in everything God has purposed me to walk in despite my insecurities. Because of the nature of my condition and physical disability, God's grace is evident in my life everyday and I find strength in the word of God that says in Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through him who gives me power". (CJB).
