YOU Will Endure

An open blog post to myself

Hello There,

I understand how you are now feeling. After a trying day, I am familiar with the emotional and mental tiredness that overtakes you and the sense of depression that creeps back in. You haven’t had the most accessible year, that’s for sure. You have made it through a lot.

I know you would rather curl up in a ball in bed right now instead of writing this, but I also know you pray that God would use you for his glory—a person whose testimony brings others to a relationship with Christ.

You are now different. You began this year with God- dreams and vision without knowing how you would step out and do it. You’ve been humbled. You’ve been proud. You’ve opened your heart only to have someone break it, and you’ve opened your heart so that others may see it. You’ve seen brokenness. You’ve seen vulnerability. You have shed tears alone. You cried again, and you let go.

I know this is difficult for you. You have difficulty getting through it because the adversary attempts to convince you that what God said won’t come to pass. But what is happening right now won’t be forever….This, too, shall pass!

God loves you.

I am well aware of your desire for things to be simplified. This is your process, the work you must allow the Holy Spirit to do on the inside, and no one else can do this work or go through this process for you. Nobody else can fulfill the calling only God has placed on your life.

After all, you’ve gone through, I have no doubt you can overcome this. You are capable of living beyond your limitations because you have the Holy Spirit living inside of you.

You will get through.

You will make mistakes, and you might even want to withdraw sometimes, but don’t let your mind make you a prisoner of fear. Don’t lose sight of the fact that you’re more than a conqueror.

Thank you for reading. If you can relate to anything I shared above, I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.

As a person living with a disability challenge is part of my life. I struggled with my identity and I recognize that I still have insecurities to face, but that doesn't mean I can't walk in everything God has purposed me to walk in despite my insecurities. Because of the nature of my condition and physical disability, God's grace is evident in my life everyday and I find strength in the word of God that says in Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through him who gives me power". (CJB).
