99 For The “One”

My sisters and I ministered at a women’s homeless shelter

My sisters and I ministered at a women’s homeless shelter today. We were expecting at least four women to be in attendance, but there was only one woman who showed up, and it was all worth it. God loves us so much that he leaves the 99 for the one (Luke 15). Sharing our testimonies and leading a Bible study on being born again was a powerful experience. The fact that there was one particular individual God wanted to reach made all the work put into organizing this event well worth it. We discussed how one acknowledges one’s natural birthday and tied it into ” being born again.” This woman surrendered her life to Christ and now gets to walk in her purpose in God. We were beyond thankful and look forward to her spiritual growth in God.

As a person living with a disability challenge is part of my life. I struggled with my identity and I recognize that I still have insecurities to face, but that doesn't mean I can't walk in everything God has purposed me to walk in despite my insecurities. Because of the nature of my condition and physical disability, God's grace is evident in my life everyday and I find strength in the word of God that says in Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through him who gives me power". (CJB).
