Life After Death

Heavens Gates Opening

When Kobe Bryant died, as with any death of a celebrity, this shocked the world. This tragedy should be a reminder that no matter how much money you have, fame or influence we all have an appointment with death. This should bring to the forefront of our minds that we can be gone at any second. Kobe Bryant flew in his helicopter hundreds of times, but he didn’t know that his last time would be his last time. This is a wake-up call for many to cherish life, family and friends. The sudden death of Kobe Bryant shows us how we don’t know the day nor the hour that our lives will end and when God says that your time is up nothing can stop it.

We should live everyday like it’s our last because it very well could be. Most people don’t like to think about their mortality but nevertheless it is a reality. We go to bed every night making plans for tomorrow, but who told us we would see tomorrow? If you haven’t accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord Savior— and you say things like I’ll do it later on down the road, please don’t keep putting it off, it’s not wise to gamble with your life like that. The scripture says, in Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgement.

Don’t get so caught up in this life that you neglect to think about life after death.

My prayers and condolences go out to the family of Kobe Bryant and the families of the other passengers and all that are affected by this sad tragedy.

As a person living with a disability challenge is part of my life. I struggled with my identity and I recognize that I still have insecurities to face, but that doesn't mean I can't walk in everything God has purposed me to walk in despite my insecurities. Because of the nature of my condition and physical disability, God's grace is evident in my life everyday and I find strength in the word of God that says in Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through him who gives me power". (CJB).

  1. Anyone and Anything can drop at any time.
One second you are here and the next second you are not.
Which is why I keep stressing the essentials of forgiving and forgetting while holding on to all the joys of togetherness and life while not allowing senseless worries derived from lack of understanding divide us.

  2. Excellent post Kim! Life is not promised and can end quickly regardless of who we are or what we have. When life here on earth ends, then eternity begins. We have to decide now where our eternity will be spent, in heaven with Jesus or hell with the devil. Good works don’t save us only the blood of Jesus.

  3. Life is fleeting and many people take it for granted Many people have no respect for mortality even though it can be ripped right from underneath us as quickly as it was given. Tomorrow is never promised so we should all be respectful for the time that we have already spent. Great post. Condolences to all the families of the people that passed away in that tragic accident.
